Priorities

Therefore, Ministry of Livestock and Fishery Development has priority agenda, policy directives anchored to the National Livestock Policy and the National Development Plan II which stipulates the following:

- Strengthen institutional capacity of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries

- Establish research and training centres

- Introduce extension programs

- Improve veterinary and fishery service delivery systems

- Develop livestock and Fishery export infrastructure

- Strengthen monitoring and evaluation programmes
